Today we link to a fascinating article written by Pete Sabatini of the New York Yankees Examiner. It looks at the ten most anticipated features of the new Yankees Stadium which is now fast approaching completition.

It appears that some of the previous sadness amongst Yankees fans for the loss of the old stadium is transferring into excitement about the prospects for the new ballpark.

… 6 – 500,000’ of elbow room. The new stadium will have 500,000 square feet of additional internal space making it 63% larger than the old stadium. Maybe that means sweaty shirtless guy won’t press up against me on the way out.
5 – 100’ scoreboard. The new video board will measure 59’ x 101’ as opposed to the old 25’ x 33’. The new board will also be in high definition. Camden Yards got a new video board for the 2008 season and after seeing what that upgrade could do for replays I’m really looking forward to seeing it in the Bronx.
