Adelaide is the headquarters for the Australian Institute of Sport’s Track Cycling Program due to its fully accredited international-standard training and competition. The Adelaide Super-Drome track was designed and its construction supervised by track specialist Ron Webb. Local road surfaces are smooth and topography varies from flat to hilly within 15 minutes of the city. The Adelaide Super-Drome has hosted a number of international events, and is a popular destination for international teams looking for a unique environment for training camp.
